How do you know which CRO agency to pick?

Written by Mason Pastro on August 3rd 2022

There’s nothing worse than paying big bucks for an agency only to find out you are their first client and they learned everything on YouTube 3 months ago.

Let’s break down how to properly vet your CRO agency in today’s post.

1. This should be obvious, but they need to have case studies. Ask them to show you tangible results of work they have done for other stores that are similar to yours.

Take it a step further and look at the revenue being generated in these test screenshots. This will give you a feel for the size of clients they are working with.

Big numbers are a good sign. This means other large 8 figure brands like yours have worked with, and trust this agency as well.

2. Ask them their background and how long they have been in the industry. You simply can’t fake this. The internet leaves a paper trail for EVERYONE.

I know for me personally, as the founder of www.conversiontime.io I’ve been in ecom since 2016 when I started my very first store. This can’t be faked. Check out my LinkedIn.

3. Ask to talk with one of their current clients. Again, this can’t be faked. If an agency has a good relationship with their clients, there should be no issue in them asking one of their clients to vouch for them.

If an agency owner is hesitant to do this for you, red flags should go up immediately.

4. Make sure they have some sort of guarantee. This makes it very low risk for you. If an agency doesn’t have any sort of money-back guarantee then they simply don’t believe in themselves and their capabilities.

Here at www.conversiontime.io we have a refund guarantee if we can’t increase your conversion rate by 20% within 90 days.

Guess what? We haven’t had to refund a single client so far knock on wood.

5. Ask them their success rate with winning tests. Industry standard in CRO is that 1 in every 7 split tests are successful. How does your potential agency measure up to this?

I know for us we usually find winning tests within 1 and every 3 tests we run.

These 5 talking points should help you weed out the fly-by-night freelancer who just bought some “SMMA” course last month and is just starting.

Here at www.conversiontime.io we know that your DTC business is almost as important to you as your first born child.

This is your baby. You're everything.

We know that. Which is why we don’t play with people’s money.

We have a 90-day money back guarantee. Let’s see if we can work together and take some stress off your shoulders.
